Israel Weather

Season To Visit Israel

Unlike many countries in the world, there is no bad season to visit Israel; due to the fact that Israel has pleasant weather throughout the year with occasional periods of rain.

The rain period is between November and May and the summer season is from June to October. Precipitation is relatively heavy in the North and Central Israel and less in the northern Negev and is almost insignificant in the southern areas.

Temperatures & Humidity

The rainfall during the winter months can be rather heavy, and during the summer months the weather can be excessively hot and humid, especially along the coast line with normal temperatures of 28-32 C by day with 80% humidity. In the hills and mountains the summer is more calm and less humid. Tel Aviv, Haifa and Tiberias are very humid in the summer season, especially in the months of July and August. Jerusalem and Eilat there is no humidity, which makes it a little more convenient to travel and explore the cities.

Attractions Are Less Busy

The winter in Israel is not too serious, with 17-22 c temperatures in Tel Aviv. It rains from time to time, but sunny days are not a rare thing in Israeli winter. Jerusalem can get quite cold during the winter and usually gets a day or two of snowfall every year; turning it into a beautiful picture postcard.

The best months to travel to Israel are May and October. All of the tourists sites are less busy, and the weather is great – it’s not too hot and not too cold. One of the best destinations on both winter and summer is Eilat. It’s never too cold in the winter and in the summer the heat is tolerated due to the fact that there is no humidity.
